Site5 was a relative unknown until a couple years ago when they repositioned themselves as the web host for a new generation of web developers and designers (if you don't fall into this category you should probably look elsewhere). Their current rapid growth stems from a major shift in focus towards innovation and engineering coupled with a new website loaded with Web 2.0 terminology and exclusive brand names. (more...)

I have been with site5 for the better part of a decade (since 2000) and have had a lot of ups and downs with them. I was on the verge of leaving a couple of years ago and ended up staying but moving to one of their reseller plans. Within the past year I was experiencing an amazing amount of issues including severe performance problems, and they eventually transferred me to a newer server. Recently my server was compromised and defaced by some sort of Russian teenagers and their service folks were less than helpful in responding to this incident (primary response was to change the passwords... which I had noted was already something that had been done in my initial ticket). I would not recommend them after my overall experience and would encourage you to consider other hosts. I am presently in the process of transferring myself and my clients to another host.
